Artimi has named Andrew Vought as its new chief executive. He succeeds Colin Macnab, who had been with the company since 2005.
Artimi's Certified Wireless USB and high-speed Bluetooth connectivity products are integrated in PC peripherals, portable consumer electronic devices and mobile phones.
Vought has served on Artimi's Board since 2004, taking an active role in forming the company's strategy and providing financial oversight. He brings 30 years of semiconductor and technology operations expertise to lead the company during this phase of accelerated growth.
Vought was most recently CEO of BroadLight, building the company into the market leader in semiconductors for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments. Previously, he served as CFO for Virata, raising $670 million in private and public investment capital, managing five acquisitions, and negotiating the company's successful merger with Globespan.
