Wireless Net DesignLine

Murata Electronics North America's MPDTY201S DC-DC converter has a small footprint (11.4mm x 8.9mm x 5.6mm MAX) and comes in a surface-mount package to reduce board space.

The converter also offers high-efficiency across the industrial operating temperature range in order to minimize power consumption.

The MPDTY201S is well suited for distributed power architectures in the wireless, telecom and datacom markets. Base stations, routers, FTTx, computer servers, instrumentation and test equipment applications benefit from the converter's layout and functionality. Requiring only small external ceramic capacitors on the output, the MPDTY201S point-of-load converter also offers a wide input voltage range, an adjustable output voltage and remote on/off switch control providing design flexibility for engineers.

The new converter also includes an output voltage sense function. Additional features include:

  • Dimensions: 11.3mm x 8.9mm x 5.6mmMAX
  • Vin: 3.0V-5.5V
  • Vout: 0.8V-2.5V
  • MAX Power: 7.5W
  • Isolation: Non isolation
  • Operating Temperature Range: -40 to +85°C
  • Built-in Protection Circuits: UVLO, over current protection, over temperature protection.
  • RoHS Compliance: Meets Pb-Free RoHS6/6 requirements
The MPDTY201S is in production and samples are availablenow. Volume quantities are available with 8 to 12-week lead times. The price is $3.12 in volume quantities.
